Introduction
Allow me to introduce myself, my name is Ryan King or CelestialWolf in some circles. In addition to other things, I’m a published writer who resides in East Point, Georgia. Amongst the cyber dust and data of the internet, celestialmountains.com, is my website and personal sanctuary.
Much like myself, celestialmountains.com has many diverse parts and shall I say unique personality traits. There are parts to it that are not obvious to the eye and require time to understand … IF ever. Feel free to take a look around, make yourself at home and have a read. If there’s something you need or have a question don’t hesitate to ask. Please excuse all the cyber dust, I’m always updating the site in some way or fashion. That being said, enjoy your stay!
So What is This Site About?
Well, what does one do with a website anyway? I’ve probably asked myself that same question about a million times over and never found an answer that truly fits me. Poetry is a very important part of my life and I figured what better thing for my website to be about than my poetry.
A long time ago, back when I was in high school, my creative writing teacher told me that I needed to create a poetry collection for my end of year project. I was hesitant at first but I did so anyway. Afterward, I found myself adding to that collection once the project had been turned in. Years passed and I continued to write poetry adding to it when ever I could, mostly hand written rather than typed. I found myself looking down at my pile of poetic chaos and yearned to have it all in a nice typed collection again. This time it wasn’t for a grade and there were ton more pieces of poetry than there were back then. Over the last year I’ve taken all that poetry, typed it up and assembled a hard copy poetry collection. In cyberspace, I’ve added the poetry that I’ve typed and placed it on the site. Now at end of my “little” project I have a nice hard copy poetry notebook, a virtual poetry notebook and a soft copy backup should I ever need it. The project may never completely be finished since I keep writing new pieces of poetry but but I’ll do my best to make sure I keep my notebook and site up-to-date.
Poetry. Why Poetry? It’s a need. I’m compelled to do so. To be honest, I’m not sure if my need to write poetry is considered an addiction or an uncontrollable lust to worship the muse. Regardless, this page is devoted to my poetry. Before you get reading let me be completely honest for a moment. Some of the poetry you’ll read will be great pieces of work but there are quite a number that will be completely awful. If they’re awful, why post them? Because we are all both good and bad - my poetry is no different. It’s who I am and what I write. It’s my purpose to dip my quill in the very ink of my soul and write who I am. I hope I’ve accomplished that.
Updates
In previous incarnations of my site I used to put a “new” icon beside the titles of the poems that were recently written/added to the site. I no longer have the site setup in such a way so that anyone can tell if something is new or not. After thinking it over I decided to add the updates section so that visitors can see at a glance what’s new.

Other Writing
I think it’s worth mentioning that I do write other things besides poetry as you *might* have seen above. Poetry will always be my passion but poetry will never pay the bills or allow me to tell the stories in my head. Flash Fiction? Short Stories? Novellas and Novels? All of the above.
